Romans 1:24-32

ESV 24 Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, NIV 24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. ESV 25 because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen. NIV 25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen. ESV 26 For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; NIV 26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. ESV 27 and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error. NIV 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error. ESV 28 And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done. NIV 28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. ESV 29 They were filled with all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness. They are gossips, NIV 29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, ESV 30 slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, NIV 30 slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; ESV 31 foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless. NIV 31 they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. ESV 32 Though they know God's decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them. NIV 32 Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.
