1 Samuel 11:12-15

Saul Confirmado como Rei

12 Então o povo disse a Samuel: “Quem foi que perguntou: ‘Será que Saul vai reinar sobre nós?’ Traze-nos esses homens, e nós os mataremos”.
13 Saul, porém, disse: “Hoje ninguém será morto, pois neste dia o SENHOR trouxe libertação a Israel”.
14 Então Samuel disse ao povo: “Venham, vamos a Gilgal e reafirmemos ali o reino”.
15 Assim, todo o povo foi a Gilgal e proclamou Saul como rei na presença do SENHOR. Ali ofereceram sacrifícios de comunhão[a] ao SENHOR, e Saul e todos os israelitas tiveram momentos de grande alegria.

INTRODUCTION TO FIRST SAMUEL 11

This chapter relates the distress the inhabitants of Jabeshgilead were in on account of the Ammonites, 1Sa 11:1-3 upon which they sent messengers to Saul, whose spirit was immediately stirred up to help them, 1Sa 11:4-6, and prepared for it, and came up soon enough for their relief, and slew their enemies, 1Sa 11:7-11, which gained him much honour and reputation among the people, and occasioned the renewal of the kingdom to him, 1Sa 11:12-15.
