1 Samuel 19:17-24

17 Entonces Saúl dijo a Mical: ¿Por qué me has así engañado, y has dejado escapar a mi enemigo? Y Mical respondió a Saúl: Porque él me dijo: Déjame ir; si no, yo te mataré

18 Huyó, pues, David, y se escapó, y vino a Samuel en Ramá, y le dijo todo lo que Saúl había hecho con él. Y se fueron él y Samuel, y moraron en Naiot

19 Y fue dado aviso a Saúl, diciendo: He aquí que David está en Naiot en Ramá

20 Y envió Saúl mensajeros que trajeran a David, los cuales vieron una compañía de profetas que profetizaban, y a Samuel que estaba señalado para presidirlos. Y vino el Espíritu de Dios sobre los mensajeros de Saúl, y ellos también profetizaron

21 Y fue hecho saber a Saúl, y él envió otros mensajeros, los cuales también profetizaron. Y Saúl volvió a enviar por tercera vez mensajeros, y ellos también profetizaron

22 Entonces él mismo vino a Ramá; y llegando al pozo grande que está en Secú, preguntó diciendo: ¿Dónde están Samuel y David? Y le fue respondido: He aquí están en Naiot en Ramá

23 Y fue allá a Naiot en Ramá; y también vino sobre él el Espíritu de Dios, e iba profetizando, hasta que llegó a Naiot en Ramá

24 Y él también se despojó de sus vestidos, y profetizó también delante de Samuel, y cayó desnudo todo aquel día y toda aquella noche. De aquí se dijo: ¿También Saúl entre los profetas

INTRODUCTION TO FIRST SAMUEL 19

This chapter relates the dangers David was exposed unto through Saul's enmity at him, and his deliverance from them, as by the notice Jonathan gave him of his father's designs against him, and by his kind interposition on his behalf, 1Sa 19:1-7; by David's slipping out of Saul's presence, when he was about to cast a javelin at him, 1Sa 19:8-10; by Michal's letting him down through a window, when Saul sent messengers to kill him, and by deceiving them with an image laid in his bed in the room of him, 1Sa 19:11-17, and again by Samuel's protection of him at Naioth, whither David fled, and where Saul sent messengers after him, and at length came himself; and instead of laying hands on David, both he and the messengers were set a prophesying, 1Sa 19:18-24.
