Éxodo 37:13-23

13 Le hizo asimismo de fundición cuatro anillos de oro, y los puso a las cuatro esquinas que correspondían a los cuatro pies de ella

14 Delante de la moldura estaban los anillos, por los cuales se metían las varas para llevar la mesa

15 E hizo las varas de madera de cedro para llevar la mesa, y las recubrió de oro

16 También hizo los vasos que habían de estar sobre la mesa, sus platos, y sus cucharas, y sus cubiertos y sus tazones con que se había de cubrir el pan, de oro fino

17 Hizo asimismo el candelero de oro puro, el cual lo hizo labrado a martillo: su pie y su caña, sus copas, sus manzanas y sus flores eran de lo mismo

18 De sus lados salían seis cañas; tres cañas de un lado del candelero, y otras tres cañas del otro lado del candelero

19 en una caña había, tres copas figura de almendras, una manzana y una flor; y en la otra caña había tres copas figura de almendras, otra manzana y otra flor; y así en todas las seis cañas que salían del candelero

20 Y en el mismo candelero había cuatro copas figura de almendras, sus manzanas y sus flores

21 y una manzana debajo de las dos cañas de lo mismo, y otra manzana debajo de las otras dos cañas de lo mismo, y otra manzana debajo de las otras dos cañas de lo mismo, por las seis cañas que salían de él

22 Sus manzanas y sus cañas eran de lo mismo; todo era una pieza labrada a martillo, de oro puro

23 Hizo asimismo sus siete lámparas, y sus despabiladeras, y sus platillos, de oro puro

INTRODUCTION TO EXODUS 37

This chapter continues the account of the making of the tabernacle, and the furniture of it, particularly the ark, mercy seat, and cherubim, Ex 37:1-9 the shewbread table, and what appertained to that, Ex 37:10-16 the candlestick, and all the vessels of it, Ex 37:17-24 and the altar of incense, together with the anointing oil, and pure incense, Ex 37:25-29.

because he gave his mind to this work more than the rest of the wise men, it is called by his name. It is a notion of some Jewish writers that the ark was made by Bezaleel, without the help of others; but there is no sufficient reason to be given for it; for other things are equally ascribed to him in this and the following chapter, as the mercy seat with the cherubim, the shewbread table, the candlestick of pure gold, the two altars, the laver of brass, with other things, which are only said to be made by him, because they were made by his direction, and he having the oversight of them while making; wherefore Aben Ezra observes, that this is particularly said for the glory of the ark.
