14 Cainán vivió novecientos diez años y después murió.

15 Cuando Mahalaleel tenía sesenta y cinco años, fue padre de Jared.

16 Después del nacimiento de Jared, Mahalaleel vivió ochocientos treinta años más y tuvo otros hijos e hijas.

17 Mahalaleel vivió ochocientos noventa y cinco años y después murió.

18 Cuando Jared tenía ciento sesenta y dos años, fue padre de Enoc.

19 Después del nacimiento de Enoc, Jared vivió ochocientos años más y tuvo otros hijos e hijas.

20 Jared vivió novecientos sesenta y dos años y después murió.

21 Cuando Enoc tenía sesenta y cinco años, fue padre de Matusalén.

22 Después del nacimiento de Matusalén, Enoc vivió en íntima comunión con Dios trescientos años más y tuvo otros hijos e hijas.

23 Enoc vivió trescientos sesenta y cinco años

24 andando en íntima comunión con Dios. Y un día desapareció, porque Dios se lo llevó.

INTRODUCTION TO GENESIS 5

This chapter contains a list or catalogue of the posterity of Adam in the line of Seth, down to Noah; it begins with a short account of the creation of Adam, and of his life and death, Ge 5:1-5 next of five of the antediluvian patriarchs, their age and death, namely Seth, Enos, Cainan, Mahalaleel, Jared, Ge 5:6-20 then a particular relation of Enoch, his character and translation, Ge 5:21-24 then follows an account of Methuselah, the oldest man, and Lamech's oracle concerning his son Noah, Ge 5:12-29 and the chapter is closed with the life and death of Lamech, and the birth of the three sons of Noah, Ge 5:30-32.
