Provérbios 16:5-15

5 O SENHOR detesta os orgulhosos de coração.Sem dúvida serão punidos.

6 Com amor e fidelidade se faz expiação pelo pecado;com o temor do SENHOR o homem evita o mal.

7 Quando os caminhos de um homem são agradáveis ao SENHOR,ele faz que até os seus inimigos vivam em paz com ele.

8 É melhor ter pouco com retidãodo que muito com injustiça.

9 Em seu coração o homem planeja o seu caminho,mas o SENHOR determina os seus passos.

10 Os lábios do rei falam com grande autoridade;sua boca não deve trair a justiça.

11 Balanças e pesos honestos vêm do SENHOR;todos os pesos da bolsa são feitos por ele.

12 Os reis detestam a prática da maldade,porquanto o trono se firma pela justiça.

13 O rei se agrada dos lábios honestose dá valor ao homem que fala a verdade.

14 A ira do rei é um mensageiro da morte,mas o homem sábio a acalmará.

15 Alegria no rosto do rei é sinal de vida;seu favor é como nuvem de chuva na primavera.

INTRODUCTION TO FIRST KINGS 6

This chapter gives an account of the building of the temple, for which preparations were before made and begins with the time of its building, 1Ki 6:1; gives the dimensions of it and the porch before it, 1Ki 6:2,3; observes the windows in it and chambers about it, 1Ki 6:4-10; and while it was building, Solomon had a word from the Lord relative to it, 1Ki 6:11-14; and then the account goes on concerning the walls of the house, and the flooring of it, 1Ki 6:15-18; and the oracle in it, and the cherubim in that, 1Ki 6:19-30; and the doors into it, and the carved work of them, 1Ki 6:31-36; and the chapter is concluded with observing the time when it was begun and finished 1Ki 6:37,38.
