27 Levantando-se pela manhã seu senhor, abriu as portas da casa, e ia sair para seguir o seu caminho; e eis que a mulher, sua concubina, jazia � porta da casa, com as mãos sobre o limiar.

Judges 19:27

And her lord rose up in the morning
Very early no doubt, and it is scarcely reasonable to think he should sleep quietly after such a riot, and his concubine or wife delivered up to the lust of such brutish creatures:

and opened the doors of the house, and went out to go his way;
either in search of her, or rather to make the best of his way on his journey, to preserve his own life, having given her up for lost:

and, behold the woman his concubine was fallen down at the door of the
house, and her hands were upon the threshold;
in a posture that persons are when they fall, stretching out their hands to save themselves what they can; or of such who lay themselves down to sleep with their hands under their heads, and which her husband thought was her case, by what follows.

25 Mas esses homens não o quiseram ouvir; então aquele homem pegou da sua concubina, e lha tirou para fora. Eles a conheceram e abusaram dela a noite toda até pela manhã; e ao subir da alva deixaram-na:

26 Ao romper do dia veio a mulher e caiu � porta da casa do homem, onde estava seu senhor, e ficou ali até que se fez claro.

27 Levantando-se pela manhã seu senhor, abriu as portas da casa, e ia sair para seguir o seu caminho; e eis que a mulher, sua concubina, jazia � porta da casa, com as mãos sobre o limiar.

28 Ele lhe disse: Levanta-te, e vamo-nos; porém ela não respondeu. Então a pôs sobre o jumento e, partindo dali, foi para o seu lugar.

29 Quando chegou em casa, tomou um cutelo e, pegando na sua concubina, a dividiu, membro por membro, em doze pedaços, que ele enviou por todo o território de Israel.
