33 and all their villages that were around the same cities as far as Baal. These were their settlements, and they have their genealogy. 41 These, recorded by name, came in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah, and attacked their tents and the Meunites who were found there, and destroyed them utterly to this day, and lived in their place, because there was pasture there for their flocks. 43 They destroyed the remnant of the Amalekites who escaped, and have lived there to this day. 26 So the God of Israel stirred up the spirit of Pul, king of Assyria, even the spirit of Tilgath-pilneser king of Assyria, and he carried them away into exile, namely the Reubenites, the Gadites and the half-tribe of Manasseh, and brought them to Halah, Habor, Hara and to the river of Gozan, to this day. 19 and he said, "Be it far from me before my God that I should do this. Why should he be a cause of guilt to Israel ?" 7 God was displeased with this thing, so He struck Israel. 8 David said to God, "I have sinned greatly, in that I have done this thing. But now, please take away the iniquity of Your servant, for I have done very foolishly."

David Prepares for Temple Building
