In the 1year that King Ahaz died this a2oracle came :
Judgment on Philistia
29 "Do not rejoice, O 3Philistia, all of you, Because the rod that 4struck you is broken ; For from the serpent's root a 5viper will come out, And its fruit will be a 6flying serpent. 30 "bThose who are most 7helpless will eat, And the needy will lie down in security ; I will cdestroy your root with 8famine, And it will kill off your survivors. 31 "Wail, O 9gate ; cry, O city ; dMelt away, O 10Philistia, all of you; For smoke comes from the 11north, And 12there is no straggler in his ranks. 32 "How then will one answer the 13messengers of the nation ?
