Praise and Prayer

7 I will tell of the kindnesses1 of the LORD, the deeds for which he is to be praised, according to all the LORD has done for us-- yes, the many good things2 he has done for the house of Israel, according to his compassion3 and many kindnesses. 8 He said, "Surely they are my people,4 sons who will not be false to me"; and so he became their Savior.5 9 In all their distress he too was distressed, and the angel6 of his presence7 saved them. In his love and mercy he redeemed8 them; he lifted them up and carried9 them all the days of old.10 10 Yet they rebelled11 and grieved his Holy Spirit.12 So he turned and became their enemy13 and he himself fought14 against them.
