And I arose in the night, I and a fewmen with me. I did not tellanyonewhat my God was putting into my amind to do for Jerusalem and there was noanimal with me except the animal on which I was riding.
So I went out at night by 2the ValleyGate in the direction of the Dragon'sWell and on to the bRefuseGate, inspecting the walls of Jerusalem3which were brokendown and its 4gates which were consumed by fire.
Then I passed on to 5the FountainGate and 6the King'sPool, but there was noplace for cmy mount to pass.
So I went up at night by the 7ravine and inspected the wall. Then I entered the ValleyGate again and returned.
The officials did not knowwhere I had gone or what I had done ; nor had I as yettold the Jews, the priests, the nobles, the officials or the rest who did the work.
