Blessed is he1 whose help2 is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the LORD his God,
6
the Maker of heaven3 and earth, the sea, and everything in them-- the LORD, who remains faithful4 forever.
7
He upholds5 the cause of the oppressed6 and gives food to the hungry.7 The LORD sets prisoners free,8

the LORD gives sight9 to the blind,10 the LORD lifts up those who are bowed down,11 the LORD loves the righteous.12

The LORD watches over the alien13 and sustains the fatherless14 and the widow,15 but he frustrates the ways of the wicked.
10
The LORD reigns16 forever, your God, O Zion, for all generations. Praise the LORD.
