With cunning they conspire1 against your people; they plot against those you cherish.2

"Come," they say, "let us destroy3 them as a nation,4 that the name of Israel be remembered5 no more."

With one mind they plot together;6 they form an alliance against you--

the tents of Edom7 and the Ishmaelites, of Moab8 and the Hagrites,9

Gebal,a10 Ammon11 and Amalek,12 Philistia,13 with the people of Tyre.14

Even Assyria15 has joined them to lend strength to the descendants of Lot.16 "Selah"
9
Do to them as you did to Midian,17 as you did to Sisera18 and Jabin19 at the river Kishon,20

who perished at Endor21 and became like refuse22 on the ground.
11
Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb,23 all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna,24
12
who said, "Let us take possession25 of the pasturelands of God."
