A great and wondrous sign1 appeared in heaven:2 a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars3 on her head.

She was pregnant and cried out in pain4 as she was about to give birth.

Then another sign appeared in heaven:5 an enormous red dragon6 with seven heads7 and ten horns8 and seven crowns9 on his heads.
