5 "Now dispatch some men to Joppa and send for a man named Simon, who is also called Peter; 32 'Therefore send to Joppa and invite Simon, who is also called Peter, to come to you; he is staying at the house of Simon the tanner by the sea.' 33 "So I sent for you immediately, and you have been kind enough to come. Now then, we are all here present before God to hear all that you have been commanded by the Lord ." 29 And in the proportion that any of the disciples had means, each of them determined to send a contribution for the relief of the brethren living in Judea. 22 Then it seemed good to the apostles and the elders, with the whole church, to choose men from among them to send to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas -Judas called Barsabbas, and Silas, leading men among the brethren, 25 it seemed good to us, having become of one mind, to select men to send to you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul, 31 Also some of the Asiarchs who were friends of his sent to him and repeatedly urged him not to venture into the theater.

Farewell to Ephesus

17 From Miletus he sent to Ephesus and called to him the elders of the church. 30 "When I was informed that there would be a plot against the man, I sent him to you at once, also instructing his accusers to bring charges against him before you." 25 "But I found that he had committed nothing worthy of death; and since he himself appealed to the Emperor, I decided to send him. 27 "For it seems absurd to me in sending a prisoner, not to indicate also the charges against him."
