12 And they all continued in amazement and great perplexity, saying to one another, "What does this mean ?" 28 'YOU DO NOT MEAN TO KILL ME AS YOU KILLED THE EGYPTIAN YESTERDAY, DO YOU?' 39 "Our fathers were unwilling to be obedient to him, but repudiated him and in their hearts turned back to Egypt, 10 But he became hungry and was desiring to eat; but while they were making preparations, he fell into a trance; 13 The priest of Zeus, whose temple was just outside the city, brought oxen and garlands to the gates, and wanted to offer sacrifice with the crowds. 3 Paul wanted this man to go with him; and he took him and circumcised him because of the Jews who were in those parts, for they all knew that his father was a Greek. 18 And also some of the Epicurean and Stoic philosophers were conversing with him. Some were saying, "What would this idle babbler wish to say?" Others , "He seems to be a proclaimer of strange deities,"-because he was preaching Jesus and the resurrection. 20 "For you are bringing some strange things to our ears; so we want to know what these things mean ." 21 but taking leave of them and saying, "I will return to you again if God wills," he set sail from Ephesus. 33 Some of the crowd concluded it was Alexander, since the Jews had put him forward; and having motioned with his hand, Alexander was intending to make a defense to the assembly. 6 "And he even tried to desecrate the temple; and then we arrested him. [We wanted to judge him according to our own Law. 27 But after two years had passed, Felix was succeeded by Porcius Festus, and wishing to do the Jews a favor, Felix left Paul imprisoned. 9 But Festus, wishing to do the Jews a favor, answered Paul and said, "Are you willing to go up to Jerusalem and stand trial before me on these charges?" 5 since they have known about me for a long time, if they are willing to testify, that I lived as a Pharisee according to the strictest sect of our religion.
