19 "Therefore repent and return, so that your sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord ; 3 And they laid hands on them and put them in jail until the next day, for it was already evening. 17 "But so that it will not spread any further among the people, let us warn them to speak no longer to any man in this name." 11 Then they secretly induced men to say, "We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses and against God." 12 And they stirred up the people, the elders and the scribes, and they came up to him and dragged him away and brought him before the Council.

The Conversion of Saul

1 Now Saul, still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest, 47 "For so the Lord has commanded us, 'I HAVE PLACED YOU AS A LIGHT FOR THE GENTILES, THAT YOU MAY BRING SALVATION TO THE END OF THE EARTH.' " 21 solemnly testifying to both Jews and Greeks of repentance toward God and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. 29 "I know that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock ; 30 But on the next day, wishing to know for certain why he had been accused by the Jews, he released him and ordered the chief priests and all the Council to assemble, and brought Paul down and set him before them. 30 "When I was informed that there would be a plot against the man, I sent him to you at once, also instructing his accusers to bring charges against him before you." 8 while Paul said in his own defense, "I have committed no offense either against the Law of the Jews or against the temple or against Caesar."
