34 But a Pharisee named Gamaliel, a teacher of the Law, respected by all the people, stood up in the Council and gave orders to put the men outside for a short time. 13 And on the Sabbath day we went outside the gate to a riverside , where we were supposing that there would be a place of prayer; and we sat down and began speaking to the women who had assembled. 11 "And as I punished them often in all the synagogues, I tried to force them to blaspheme; and being furiously enraged at them, I kept pursuing them even to foreign cities.
