Young's Literal Translation
"So you shall come to the Levitical priest or the judge who is in office in those days, and you shall inquire of them and they will declare to you the verdict in the case.
"The man who acts presumptuously by not listening to the priest who stands there to serve the LORD your God, nor to the judge, that man shall die ; thus you shall purge the evil from Israel.
"Now it shall come about when he sits on the throne of his kingdom, he shall write for himself a copy of this law on a scroll in the presence of the Levitical priests.
"The Levitical priests, the whole tribe of Levi, shall have no portion or inheritance with Israel ; they shall eat the LORD'S offerings by fire and His portion.
"Now this shall be the priests' due from the people, from those who offer a sacrifice, either an ox or a sheep, of which they shall give to the priest the shoulder and the two cheeks and the stomach.
then both the men who have the dispute shall stand before the LORD, before the priests and the judges who will be in office in those days.
"When you are approaching the battle, the priest shall come near and speak to the people.
"Then the priests, the sons of Levi, shall come near, for the LORD your God has chosen them to serve Him and to bless in the name of the LORD ; and every dispute and every assault shall be settled by them.
"Be careful against an infection of leprosy, that you diligently observe and do according to all that the Levitical priests teach you; as I have commanded them, so you shall be careful to do.
"You shall go to the priest who is in office at that time and say to him, 'I declare this day to the LORD my God that I have entered the land which the LORD swore to our fathers to give us.'
"Then the priest shall take the basket from your hand and set it down before the altar of the LORD your God.
Then Moses and the Levitical priests spoke to all Israel, saying, "Be silent and listen, O Israel ! This day you have become a people for the LORD your God.
So Moses wrote this law and gave it to the priests, the sons of Levi who carried the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and to all the elders of Israel.
