God, furthermore, said to Moses, "Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, 'The LORD, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you.' This is My name forever, and this is My memorial-name to all generations.
Then Moses departed and returned to Jethro his father-in-law and said to him, "Please, let me go, that I may return to my brethren who are in Egypt, and see if they are still alive." And Jethro said to Moses, "Go in peace."
Moses said to him, "As soon as I go out of the city, I will spread out my hands to the LORD ; the thunder will cease and there will be hail no longer, that you may know that the earth is the LORD'S.
But Moses said to the people, "Do not fear ! Stand by and see the salvation of the LORD which He will accomplish for you today ; for the Egyptians whom you have seen today, you will never see them again forever .
They received from Moses all the contributions which the sons of Israel had brought to perform the work in the construction of the sanctuary. And they still continued bringing to him freewill offerings every morning.
So Moses issued a command, and a proclamation was circulated throughout the camp, saying, "Let no man or woman any longer perform work for the contributions of the sanctuary." Thus the people were restrained from bringing any more.
