14 Moreover, the foremen of the sons of Israel, whom Pharaoh's taskmasters had set over them, were beaten and were asked, "Why have you not completed your required amount either yesterday or today in making brick as previously ?" 24 "And you shall observe this event as an ordinance for you and your children forever . 25 Then he cried out to the LORD, and the LORD showed him a tree ; and he threw it into the waters, and the waters became sweet. There He made for them a statute and regulation, and there He tested them. 26 And He said, "If you will give earnest heed to the voice of the LORD your God, and do what is right in His sight, and give ear to His commandments, and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have put on the Egyptians ; for I, the LORD, am your healer." 16 "When they have a dispute, it comes to me, and I judge between a man and his neighbor and make known the statutes of God and His laws." 20 then teach them the statutes and the laws, and make known to them the way in which they are to walk and the work they are to do. 28 "It shall be for Aaron and his sons as their portion forever from the sons of Israel, for it is a heave offering ; and it shall be a heave offering from the sons of Israel from the sacrifices of their peace offerings, even their heave offering to the LORD. 21 "So they shall wash their hands and their feet, so that they will not die ; and it shall be a perpetual statute for them, for Aaron and his descendants throughout their generations."
