20 In that day men will cast away to the moles and the bats Their idols of silver and their idols of gold, Which they made for themselves to worship, 19 "But you have been cast out of your tomb Like a rejected branch, Clothed with the slain who are pierced with a sword, Who go down to the stones of the pit Like a trampled corpse. 8 And the fishermen will lament, And all those who cast a line into the Nile will mourn, And those who spread nets on the waters will pine away. 3 So their slain will be thrown out, And their corpses will give off their stench, And the mountains will be drenched with their blood. 17 "Lo, for my own welfare I had great bitterness ; It is You who has kept my soul from the pit of nothingness, For You have cast all my sins behind Your back.
