Do give heed to me, O LORD, And listen to awhat my opponents are saying !
20
1Should good be repaid with evil ? For they have 2dug a pit for bme. Remember how I 3stood before You To speak good on their behalf, So as to turn away Your wrath from them.
21
Therefore, 4give their children over to famine And deliver them up to the cpower of the sword ; And let their wives become 5childless and 6widowed. Let their men also be smitten to death, Their 7young men struck down by the sword in battle.
22
May an 8outcry be heard from their houses, When You suddenly bring raiders upon them; 9For they have dug a pit to capture me And 10hidden snares for my feet.
23
Yet You, O LORD, know All their ddeadly designs against me; 11Do not eforgive their iniquity Or blot out their sin from Your sight. But may they be f12overthrown before You; Deal with them in the 13time of Your anger !
