Job 1:5; Job 5:26; Job 6:18; Job 7:9; Job 20:6; Job 36:20; Job 36:33; Job 42:8 (New American Standard)

5 When the days of feasting had completed their cycle, Job would send and consecrate them, rising up early in the morning and offering burnt offerings according to the number of them all; for Job said, "Perhaps my sons have sinned and cursed God in their hearts." Thus Job did continually . 26 "You will come to the grave in full vigor, Like the stacking of grain in its season. 18 "The paths of their course wind along, They go up into nothing and perish. 9 "When a cloud vanishes, it is gone, So he who goes down to Sheol does not come up. 6 "Though his loftiness reaches the heavens, And his head touches the clouds, 20 "Do not long for the night, When people vanish in their place. 33 "Its noise declares His presence; The cattle also, concerning what is coming up. 8 "Now therefore, take for yourselves seven bulls and seven rams, and go to My servant Job, and offer up a burnt offering for yourselves, and My servant Job will pray for you. For I will accept him so that I may not do with you according to your folly, because you have not spoken of Me what is right, as My servant Job has."
