Then the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel, so that He sold them into the hands of Cushan-rishathaim king of Mesopotamia ; and the sons of Israel served Cushan-rishathaim eight years.
Then the land had rest forty years. And Othniel the son of Kenaz died.
The sons of Israel served Eglon the king of Moab eighteen years.
So Moab was subdued that day under the hand of Israel. And the land was undisturbed for eighty years.
The sons of Israel cried to the LORD ; for he had nine hundred iron chariots, and he oppressed the sons of Israel severely for twenty years.
"Thus let all Your enemies perish, O LORD ; But let those who love Him be like the rising of the sun in its might." And the land was undisturbed for forty years.
Then the sons of Israel did what was evil in the sight of the LORD ; and the LORD gave them into the hands of Midian seven years.
Now on the same night the LORD said to him, "Take your father's bull and a second bull seven years old, and pull down the altar of Baal which belongs to your father, and cut down the Asherah that is beside it;
So Midian was subdued before the sons of Israel, and they did not lift up their heads anymore. And the land was undisturbed for forty years in the days of Gideon.
Now Abimelech ruled over Israel three years.
He judged Israel twenty-three years. Then he died and was buried in Shamir.
After him, Jair the Gileadite arose and judged Israel twenty-two years.
They afflicted and crushed the sons of Israel that year ; for eighteen years they afflicted all the sons of Israel who were beyond the Jordan in Gilead in the land of the Amorites.
'While Israel lived in Heshbon and its villages, and in Aroer and its villages, and in all the cities that are on the banks of the Arnon, three hundred years, why did you not recover them within that time ?

Now the sons of Israel again did evil in the sight of the LORD, so that the LORD gave them into the hands of the Philistines forty years.
So he judged Israel twenty years in the days of the Philistines.
Then his brothers and all his father's household came down, took him, brought him up and buried him between Zorah and Eshtaol in the tomb of Manoah his father. Thus he had judged Israel twenty years.
