14 "Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace among men with whom He is pleased." 25 "But I say to you in truth, there were many widows in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the sky was shut up for three years and six months, when a great famine came over all the land ; 3 And He got into one of the boats, which was Simon's, and asked him to put out a little way from the land. And He sat down and began teaching the people from the boat. 11 When they had brought their boats to land, they left everything and followed Him. 24 "But, so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins,"-He said to the paralytic -"I say to you, get up, and pick up your stretcher and go home." 49 "But the one who has heard and has not acted accordingly, is like a man who built a house on the ground without any foundation ; and the torrent burst against it and immediately it collapsed, and the ruin of that house was great." 8 "Other seed fell into the good soil, and grew up, and produced a crop a hundred times as great." As He said these things, He would call out, "He who has ears to hear, let him hear." 15 "But the seed in the good soil, these are the ones who have heard the word in an honest and good heart, and hold it fast, and bear fruit with perseverance. 27 And when He came out onto the land, He was met by a man from the city who was possessed with demons ; and who had not put on any clothing for a long time, and was not living in a house, but in the tombs. 21 At that very time He rejoiced greatly in the Holy Spirit, and said, "I praise You, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent and have revealed them to infants. Yes, Father, for this way was well-pleasing in Your sight. 31 "The Queen of the South will rise up with the men of this generation at the judgment and condemn them, because she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon ; and behold, something greater than Solomon is here.

Christ Divides Men

49 "I have come to cast fire upon the earth ; and how I wish it were already kindled ! 51 "Do you suppose that I came to grant peace on earth ? I tell you, no, but rather division ; 56 "You hypocrites ! You know how to analyze the appearance of the earth and the sky, but why do you not analyze this present time ? 7 "And he said to the vineyard-keeper, 'Behold, for three years I have come looking for fruit on this fig tree without finding any. Cut it down ! Why does it even use up the ground ?' 35 "It is useless either for the soil or for the manure pile ; it is thrown out. He who has ears to hear, let him hear." 17 "But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one stroke of a letter of the Law to fail. 8 "I tell you that He will bring about justice for them quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth ?" 23 "Woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days ; for there will be great distress upon the land and wrath to this people ;

The Return of Christ

25 "There will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth dismay among nations, in perplexity at the roaring of the sea and the waves, 33 "Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away. 35 for it will come upon all those who dwell on the face of all the earth. 44 And being in agony He was praying very fervently ; and His sweat became like drops of blood, falling down upon the ground. 44 It was now about the sixth hour, and darkness fell over the whole land until the ninth hour, 5 and as the women were terrified and bowed their faces to the ground, the men said to them, "Why do you seek the living One among the dead ?
