saying, "What business do we have with each other, Jesus of Nazareth? Have You come to destroy us? I know who You are-the Holy One of God!"
And He healed many who were ill with various diseases, and cast out many demons; and He was not permitting the demons to speak, because they knew who He was.
"But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins "-He said to the paralytic,
And He said to them, "Do you not understand this parable? How will you understand all the parables?
and he goes to bed at night and gets up by day, and the seed sprouts and grows -how, he himself does not know.
But the woman fearing and trembling, aware of what had happened to her, came and fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth.
for Herod was afraid of John, knowing that he was a righteous and holy man, and he kept him safe. And when he heard him, he was very perplexed; but he used to enjoy listening to him.
For he did not know what to answer; for they became terrified.
"You know the commandments, 'DO NOT MURDER, DO NOT COMMIT ADULTERY, DO NOT STEAL, DO NOT BEAR FALSE WITNESS, Do not defraud, HONOR YOUR FATHER AND MOTHER.' "
But Jesus said to them, "You do not know what you are asking. Are you able to drink the cup that I drink, or to be baptized with the baptism with which I am baptized?"
Calling them to Himself, Jesus said to them, "You know that those who are recognized as rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them; and their great men exercise authority over them.
Answering Jesus, they said, "We do not know." And Jesus said to them, "Nor will I tell you by what authority I do these things."
They came and said to Him, "Teacher, we know that You are truthful and defer to no one; for You are not partial to any, but teach the way of God in truth. Is it lawful to pay a poll-tax to Caesar, or not?
"Shall we pay or shall we not pay?" But He, knowing their hypocrisy, said to them, "Why are you testing Me? Bring Me a denarius to look at."
Jesus said to them, "Is this not the reason you are mistaken, that you do not understand the Scriptures or the power of God?
"But of that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone.
"Take heed, keep on the alert; for you do not know when the appointed time will come.
"Therefore, be on the alert -for you do not know when the master of the house is coming, whether in the evening, at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or in the morning -
And again He came and found them sleeping, for their eyes were very heavy; and they did not know what to answer Him.
But he denied it, saying, "I neither know nor understand what you are talking about." And he went out onto the porch. and a rooster crowed.#2871
But he began to curse and swear, "I do not know this man you are talking about!"
