And all the country of Judea was going out to him, and all the people of Jerusalem ; and they were being baptized by him in the Jordan River, confessing their sins.
"Any place that does not receive you or listen to you, as you go out from there, shake the dust off the soles of your feet for a testimony against them."
there is nothing outside the man which can defile him if it goes into him; but the things which proceed out of the man are what defile the man.
because it does not go into his heart, but into his stomach, and is eliminated ?" (Thus He declared all foods clean.)
And He was saying, "That which proceeds out of the man, that is what defiles the man.
"For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed the evil thoughts, fornications, thefts, murders, adulteries,
"All these evil things proceed from within and defile the man."
As He was setting out on a journey, a man ran up to Him and knelt before Him, and asked Him, "Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life ?"
Then they came to Jericho. And as He was leaving Jericho with His disciples and a large crowd, a blind beggar named Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, was sitting by the road.
When evening came, they would go out of the city.
As He was going out of the temple, one of His disciples said to Him, "Teacher, behold what wonderful stones and what wonderful buildings !"
