8 "I baptized you with water ; but He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit." 10 Immediately coming up out of the water, He saw the heavens opening, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon Him; 12 Immediately the Spirit impelled Him to go out into the wilderness. 23 Just then there was a man in their synagogue with an unclean spirit ; and he cried out, 26 Throwing him into convulsions, the unclean spirit cried out with a loud voice and came out of him. 27 They were all amazed, so that they debated among themselves, saying, "What is this ? A new teaching with authority ! He commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey Him." 8 Immediately Jesus, aware in His spirit that they were reasoning that way within themselves, said to them, "Why are you reasoning about these things in your hearts ? 11 Whenever the unclean spirits saw Him, they would fall down before Him and shout, "You are the Son of God !" 29 but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin "- 30 because they were saying, "He has an unclean spirit." 2 When He got out of the boat, immediately a man from the tombs with an unclean spirit met Him, 8 For He had been saying to him, "Come out of the man, you unclean spirit !" 13 Jesus gave them permission. And coming out, the unclean spirits entered the swine ; and the herd rushed down the steep bank into the sea, about two thousand of them; and they were drowned in the sea.

The Twelve Sent Out

7 And He summoned the twelve and began to send them out in pairs, and gave them authority over the unclean spirits ; 25 But after hearing of Him, a woman whose little daughter had an unclean spirit immediately came and fell at His feet. 12 Sighing deeply in His spirit, He said, "Why does this generation seek for a sign ? Truly I say to you, no sign will be given to this generation." 17 And one of the crowd answered Him, "Teacher, I brought You my son, possessed with a spirit which makes him mute ; 20 They brought the boy to Him. When he saw Him, immediately the spirit threw him into a convulsion, and falling to the ground, he began rolling around and foaming at the mouth. 25 When Jesus saw that a crowd was rapidly gathering, He rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, "You deaf and mute spirit, I command you, come out of him and do not enter him again." 36 "David himself said in the Holy Spirit, 'THE LORD SAID TO MY LORD, "SIT AT MY RIGHT HAND, UNTIL I PUT YOUR ENEMIES BENEATH YOUR FEET."' 11 "When they arrest you and hand you over, do not worry beforehand about what you are to say, but say whatever is given you in that hour ; for it is not you who speak, but it is the Holy Spirit. 38 "Keep watching and praying that you may not come into temptation ; the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak."
