Mark 5:35; Mark 5:39; Mark 9:26; Mark 12:19-22; Mark 15:44 (New American Standard)

35 While He was still speaking, they came from the house of the synagogue official, saying, "Your daughter has died; why trouble the Teacher anymore?" 39 And entering in, He said to them, "Why make a commotion and weep? The child has not died, but is asleep." 26 After crying out and throwing him into terrible convulsions, it came out; and the boy became so much like a corpse that most of them said, "He is dead!" 19 "Teacher, Moses wrote for us that IF A MAN'S BROTHER DIES and leaves behind a wife AND LEAVES NO CHILD, HIS BROTHER SHOULD MARRY THE WIFE AND RAISE UP CHILDREN TO HIS BROTHER. 20 "There were seven brothers; and the first took a wife, and died leaving no children. 21 "The second one married her, and died leaving behind no children; and the third likewise; 22 and so all seven left no children. Last of all the woman died also. 44 Pilate wondered if He was dead by this time, and summoning the centurion, he questioned him as to whether He was already dead.
