23 and came and lived in a city called Nazareth. This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophets : "He shall be called a Nazarene." 5 Then the devil took Him into the holy city and had Him stand on the pinnacle of the temple, 14 "You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden ; 35 or by the earth, for it is the footstool of His feet, or by Jerusalem, for it is THE CITY OF THE GREAT KING. 33 The herdsmen ran away, and went to the city and reported everything, including what had happened to the demoniacs. 34 And behold, the whole city came out to meet Jesus ; and when they saw Him, they implored Him to leave their region.

A Paralytic Healed

1 Getting into a boat, Jesus crossed over the sea and came to His own city. 35 Jesus was going through all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every kind of disease and every kind of sickness. 5 These twelve Jesus sent out after instructing them: "Do not go in the way of the Gentiles, and do not enter any city of the Samaritans ; 11 "And whatever city or village you enter, inquire who is worthy in it, and stay at his house until you leave that city. 14 "Whoever does not receive you, nor heed your words, as you go out of that house or that city, shake the dust off your feet. 15 "Truly I say to you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city. 23 "But whenever they persecute you in one city, flee to the next ; for truly I say to you, you will not finish going through the cities of Israel until the Son of Man comes.

Five Thousand Fed

13 Now when Jesus heard about John, He withdrew from there in a boat to a secluded place by Himself ; and when the people heard of this, they followed Him on foot from the cities. 10 When He had entered Jerusalem, all the city was stirred, saying, "Who is this ?" 17 And He left them and went out of the city to Bethany, and spent the night there.

The Barren Fig Tree

18 Now in the morning, when He was returning to the city, He became hungry. 7 "But the king was enraged, and he sent his armies and destroyed those murderers and set their city on fire. 34 "Therefore , behold, I am sending you prophets and wise men and scribes ; some of them you will kill and crucify, and some of them you will scourge in your synagogues, and persecute from city to city, 18 And He said, "Go into the city to a certain man, and say to him, 'The Teacher says, "My time is near ; I am to keep the Passover at your house with My disciples."' " 53 and coming out of the tombs after His resurrection they entered the holy city and appeared to many. 11 Now while they were on their way, some of the guard came into the city and reported to the chief priests all that had happened.
