Disciples and the World

13 "You are the salt of the earth ; but if the salt has become tasteless, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled under foot by men. 24 "No one can serve two masters ; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth. 10 Now when Jesus heard this, He marveled and said to those who were following, "Truly I say to you, I have not found such great faith with anyone in Israel. 16 "But no one puts a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment ; for the patch pulls away from the garment, and a worse tear results. 26 "Therefore do not fear them, for there is nothing concealed that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known. 27 "All things have been handed over to Me by My Father ; and no one knows the Son except the Father ; nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son wills to reveal Him. 8 And lifting up their eyes, they saw no one except Jesus Himself alone. 20 And He said to them, "Because of the littleness of your faith ; for truly I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move ; and nothing will be impossible to you. 7 "They said to him, 'Because no one hired us.' He said to them, 'You go into the vineyard too.' 19 Seeing a lone fig tree by the road, He came to it and found nothing on it except leaves only ; and He said to it, "No longer shall there ever be any fruit from you." And at once the fig tree withered. 16 And they sent their disciples to Him, along with the Herodians, saying, "Teacher, we know that You are truthful and teach the way of God in truth, and defer to no one ; for You are not partial to any. 46 No one was able to answer Him a word, nor did anyone dare from that day on to ask Him another question. 16 "Woe to you, blind guides, who say, 'Whoever swears by the temple, that is nothing ; but whoever swears by the gold of the temple is obligated.' 18 "And, 'Whoever swears by the altar, that is nothing, but whoever swears by the offering on it, he is obligated.' 36 "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone. 24 When Pilate saw that he was accomplishing nothing, but rather that a riot was starting, he took water and washed his hands in front of the crowd, saying, "I am innocent of this Man's blood ; see to that yourselves."
