Young's Literal Translation
He gives great deliverance to His king, And shows lovingkindness to His anointed, To David and his descendants forever .
The prayers of David the son of Jesse are ended.
He also chose David His servant And took him from the sheepfolds ;
"I have made a covenant with My chosen; I have sworn to David My servant,
"I have found David My servant; With My holy oil I have anointed him,
"Once I have sworn by My holiness; I will not lie to David.
Where are Your former lovingkindnesses, O Lord, Which You swore to David in Your faithfulness?
For there thrones were set for judgment, The thrones of the house of David.
Remember, O LORD, on David's behalf, All his affliction;
For the sake of David Your servant, Do not turn away the face of Your anointed.
The LORD has sworn to David A truth from which He will not turn back: "Of the fruit of your body I will set upon your throne.
"There I will cause the horn of David to spring forth; I have prepared a lamp for Mine anointed.
Who gives salvation to kings, Who rescues David His servant from the evil sword.
