6 Many are saying, "Who will show us any good ?" Lift up the light of Your countenance upon us, O LORD !

A Psalm of Fearless Trust in God.

1 The LORD is my light and my salvation ; Whom shall I fear ? The LORD is the defense of my life ; Whom shall I dread ? 9 For with You is the fountain of life ; In Your light we see light. 6 He will bring forth your righteousness as the light And your judgment as the noonday. 10 My heart throbs, my strength fails me; And the light of my eyes, even that has gone from me. 3 O send out Your light and Your truth, let them lead me; Let them bring me to Your holy hill And to Your dwelling places. 3 For by their own sword they did not possess the land, And their own arm did not save them, But Your right hand and Your arm and the light of Your presence, For You favored them. 19 He shall go to the generation of his fathers ; They will never see the light. 13 For You have delivered my soul from death, Indeed my feet from stumbling, So that I may walk before God In the light of the living. 14 Then He led them with the cloud by day And all the night with a light of fire. 15 How blessed are the people who know the joyful sound ! O LORD, they walk in the light of Your countenance. 11 Light is sown like seed for the righteous And gladness for the upright in heart. 2 Covering Yourself with light as with a cloak, Stretching out heaven like a tent curtain. 4 Light arises in the darkness for the upright ; He is gracious and compassionate and righteous.
