Praise be to the LORD,1 for he has heard my cry for mercy.2

The LORD is my strength3 and my shield; my heart trusts4 in him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy5 and I will give thanks to him in song.6

The LORD is the strength7 of his people, a fortress of salvation8 for his anointed one.9

Save your people10 and bless your inheritance;11 be their shepherd12 and carry them13 forever.
