48 Esta fue la heredad de la tribu de los hijos de Dan conforme a sus familias; estas ciudades con sus aldeas.

Joshua 19:48

This [is] the inheritance of the tribe of the children of
Dan
Before described by its cities, which were in it. This tribe was bounded by Ephraim on the north, by Judah on the east, by Simeon on the south, and by the Mediterranean sea on the west. Josephus ^F8 says, the Danites enjoyed the vale which lies to the setting sun, bounded by Azotus and Doris, and all Jamnia and Getta, from Accaron (or Ekron) to the mountain from whence the tribe of Judah begins:

according to their families;
which inheritance was distributed according to the number of their families:

their cities with their villages;
before named.

47 Pero el territorio de los hijos de Dan continuaba más allá de éstas; porque los hijos de Dan subieron y lucharon contra Lesem y la capturaron. Y la hirieron a filo de espada, la poseyeron y se establecieron en ella; y a Lesem la llamaron Dan, según el nombre de Dan su padre.

49 Cuando terminaron de repartir la tierra en heredad según sus límites, los hijos de Israel dieron heredad en medio de ellos a Josué, hijo de Nun.

50 De acuerdo con el mandato del SEÑOR le dieron la ciudad que él pidió, Timnat-sera, en la región montañosa de Efraín. Y él reconstruyó la ciudad y se estableció en ella.
