And David smote Hadarezer king of Zobah unto Hamath, as he went to stablish his dominion by the river Euphrates.

,] in the parallel passage, seems an evident mistake for [Hadar'ezer ,] Hadarezer; for the - LXX and Vulgate there, as here, read [Adaraazar,] Adarezer. The difference arises from the mistake of a [Rysh,] {raish,} for a [Dleth,] {daleth,} two letters very similar.
