But Absalom fled, and went to Talmai, the son of Ammihud, king of Geshur. And David mourned for his son every day.
 


Absalom fled
As Absalom had committed wilful murder, he could not avail himself of a city of refuge; but went to Talmai, king of Geshur, his maternal grandfather.
