And David and all the house of Israel played before the LORD on all manner of instruments made of fir wood, even on harps, and on psalteries, and on timbrels, and on cornets, and on cymbals.

- This place should doubtless be corrected from the parallel place, 1 ; Ch 13:8 where, instead of {bechol tzey beroshim,} which is literally, "with all trees or wood of fir," we read {bechol z oovesheerim,} "with all their might, and with
- songs." This makes a good sense, while the former makes none: the LXX. have the same reading here, [en ischui, kai en odais.]
