ELIPHAL

e-li'-fal, el'-i-fal ('eliphal, "God has judged"):

Son of Ur, one of the mighty men of David's armies (1 Chronicles 11:35). the Revised Version (British and American) in a footnote identifies him with Eliphelet, son of Ahasbai, the son of the Maachathite (2 Samuel 23:34; ef Davis, Dict. of the Bible, under the word "Ur"). See also 1 Chronicles 14:5,7.
