Salma, or Salmon

(garment ), ( Ruth 4:20 Ruth 4:21 ; 1 Chronicles 2:11 1 Chronicles 2:51 1 Chronicles 2:54 ; Matthew 1:4 Matthew 1:5 ; Luke 3:32 ) son of Nahshon. the prince of the children of Judah, and father of Boat, the husband of Ruth. (B.C. 1296.) Bethlehem-ephratah, which was Salmons inheritance, was part of the territory of Caleb, the grandson of Ephratah; and this caused him to be reckoned among the sons of Caleb.
