John 20:26-31

26 Eight days later, his disciples were inside again, and Thomas was with them. ¹Although the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, ²"Peace be with you."

27 Then he said to Thomas, ³"Put your finger here, and see my hands; and put out your hand, and place it in my side. Do not disbelieve, but believe."

28 Thomas answered him, ⁴"My Lord and my God!"

29 Jesus said to him, "Have you believed because you have seen me? ⁵Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."

The Purpose of This Book

30 ⁶Now Jesus did many other signs ⁷in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book;

31 ⁸but these are written so that you may ⁹believe that Jesus is the Christ, ¹⁰the Son of God, and that by believing ¹¹you may have life ¹²in his name.
