John 6:32-42

Jesus then said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, it was not Moses who gave you the bread from heaven, but my Father gives you the true bread from heaven.
For the bread of God is 1he who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world."
They said to him, 2"Sir, give us this bread always."
Jesus said to them, 3"I am the bread of life; 4whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.
But I said to you that you have seen me and yet do not believe.
5All that 6the Father gives me will come to me, and 7whoever comes to me I will never cast out.
For 8I have come down from heaven, not to do 9my own will but 10the will of him 11who sent me.
And 12this is the will of him who sent me, 13that I should lose nothing of 14all that he has given me, but 15raise it up on the last day.
For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who 16looks on the Son and 17believes in him 18should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day."
So the Jews grumbled about him, because he said, 19"I am the bread that came down from heaven."
They said, 20"Is not this Jesus, 21the son of Joseph, whose father and mother 22we know? How does he now say, 'I have come down from heaven'?"
