Jesus said to them, 1"I am the bread of life; 2whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.36But I said to you that you have seen me and yet do not believe.373All that 4the Father gives me will come to me, and 5whoever comes to me I will never cast out.38For 6I have come down from heaven, not to do 7my own will but 8the will of him 9who sent me.39And 10this is the will of him who sent me, 11that I should lose nothing of 12all that he has given me, but 13raise it up on the last day.40For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who 14looks on the Son and 15believes in him 16should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day."41
So the Jews grumbled about him, because he said, 17"I am the bread that came down from heaven."42
They said, 18"Is not this Jesus, 19the son of Joseph, whose father and mother 20we know? How does he now say, 'I have come down from heaven'?"
Jesus answered them, "Do not grumble among yourselves.44No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me 21draws him. And 22I will raise him up on the last day.45It is written in the Prophets, 23'And they will all be 24taught by God.'25Everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to me--
