Jesus said to them, 1"I am the bread of life; 2whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.
But I said to you that you have seen me and yet do not believe.
3All that 4the Father gives me will come to me, and 5whoever comes to me I will never cast out.
For 6I have come down from heaven, not to do 7my own will but 8the will of him 9who sent me.
And 10this is the will of him who sent me, 11that I should lose nothing of 12all that he has given me, but 13raise it up on the last day.
For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who 14looks on the Son and 15believes in him 16should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day."
So the Jews grumbled about him, because he said, 17"I am the bread that came down from heaven."
