Not that I have already 1obtained this or 2am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own.
Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: 3forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead,
I press on toward the goal for 4the prize of the upward 5call of God in Christ Jesus.
Let those of us who are 6mature think this way, and if in anything 7you think otherwise, 8God will reveal that also to you.
Only 9let us hold true to what we have attained.
Brothers, 10join in imitating me, and keep your eyes on those who walk 11according to the example you have in us.
For 12many, of whom I have often told you and now tell you 13even with tears, walk as enemies of the cross of Christ.
1914Their end is destruction, 15their god is their belly, and 16they glory in their shame, with 17minds set on earthly things.
But 18our citizenship is in heaven, and 19from it we 20await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,
who will transform 21our lowly body 22to be like his glorious body, 23by the power that enables him even 24to subject all things to himself.
