And not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have 1the firstfruits of the Spirit, 2groan inwardly as 3we wait eagerly for adoption as sons, 4the redemption of our bodies.
For 5in this hope we were saved. Now 6hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees?
But if we hope for what we do not see, we 7wait for it with patience.
Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For 8we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but 9the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.
And 10he who searches hearts knows what is 11the mind of the Spirit, becausea the Spirit 12intercedes for the saints 13according to the will of God.
And we know that for those who love God all things work together 14for good,b for 15those who are called according to his purpose.
For those whom he 16foreknew he also 17predestined 18to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be 19the firstborn among many brothers.
And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also 20justified, and those whom he justified he also 21glorified.
What then shall we say to these things? 22If God is for us, who can bec against us?
3223He who did not spare his own Son but 24gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?
Who shall bring any charge against God's elect? 25It is God who justifies.
