But Zipporah took a flint knife, cut off her son’s foreskin and touched Moses’ feet with it.[a] “Surely you are a bridegroom of blood to me,” she said.

But Moses’ wife, Zipporah, took a flint knife and circumcised her son. She touched his feet with the foreskin and said, “Now you are a bridegroom of blood to me.”

So Zipporah took a flint, cut off her son's foreskin, and threw it at Moses' feet. Then she said, "You are a bridegroom of blood to me!"

At a lodging place on the way, the LORD met Moses and was about to kill him.
