Psalms 88:2

Let my prayer come before thee
Not before men, as hypocrites desire, but before the Lord; let it not be shut out, but be admitted; and let it come with acceptance, as it does when it ascends before God, out of the hands of the angel before the throne, perfumed with the much incense of his mediation, ( Revelation 8:3 Revelation 8:4 ) ,

incline thine ear unto my cry;
hearken to it, receive it, and give an answer to it; Christ's prayers were attended with strong crying, and were always received and heard, ( Hebrews 5:7 ) ( John 11:41 John 11:42 ) .

1 Maschil di Heman Ezrahita, che è un cantico di salmo dato al capo de’ Musici, dei figliuoli di Core, per Cantarlo sopra Mahalat. O SIGNORE Iddio della mia salute, Io grido di giorno e di notte, nel tuo cospetto.

2 Venga la mia orazione in tua presenza; Inchina il tuo orecchio al mio grido.

3 Perciocchè l’anima mia è sazia di mali; E la mia vita è giunta infino al sepolcro.

4 Io son reputato del numero di quelli che scendono nella fossa; Io son simile ad un uomo che non ha più forza alcuna.

5 Io sono spacciato fra i morti, Come gli uccisi che giacciono nella sepoltura, De’ quali tu non ti ricordi più; E che son ricisi dalla tua mano.
