Leviticus 2:6

Thou shalt part it in pieces
This answered to the dividing of the pieces of the burnt offering, ( Leviticus 1:6 Leviticus 1:12 ) and signified the same thing; (See Gill on Leviticus 1:6) (See Gill on Leviticus 1:12) All meat offerings, it is said F12, that were prepared in a vessel, were obliged to be cut to pieces; the meat offering of an Israelite, one (cake) was doubled into two, and two into four, and then divided, each piece was about the quantity of an olive:

and pour oil thereon;
after parted into pieces, (See Gill on Leviticus 2:4)

[it is] a meat offering;
as well as that of fine flour, or that which was baked in an oven.

4 "If you bring a grain offering which has been baked in an oven, it must be rings of unleavened bread made of flour mixed with olive oil or wafers of unleavened bread brushed with olive oil.
5 If your grain offering is prepared in a frying pan, it, too, will be unleavened bread made of flour mixed with olive oil.
6 Break it into pieces and pour olive oil over it. It is a grain offering.
7 If your grain offering is prepared in a skillet, it will be made of flour with olive oil.
8 "Bring the LORD the grain offering prepared in any of these ways. Offer it to the priest who will bring it to the altar.
